RESERVE CLOSING LOOP
The Reflex II's Reserve Closing Loop is very special, and cannot
be replaced with an ordinary non-adjustable loop. The Reflex II utilizes
an adjustable closing loop that aids in making the rig easy to close,
but allows for unobstructed AAD actuation. As indicated by the graphic
below, the loop has specific internal measurements, and must be built
to specification to ensure it has the proper amount of room to tighten
the reserve pop-top down snuggly without bottoming-out and without putting
undue stress on the fingertrapped portion of the loop.

To form the closing loop, turn end "A"
back towards the washer end of
the loop and trap it through the section marked "B" on the above
graphic,
this will for the body of the loop. Next, create the pull-loop end of
the
closing loop by trapping end "A" through the section marked
"D". Now
thread the end opposite end "A" through the Cypres washer and
tie off as
normal.
Loops may be made in the field, but must only be built using materials
listed below, as defined by AAD usage. If you have ANY questions, or are
unclear about ANY of these steps, please contact Trident H&C before
proceding.
FAILURE TO CONSTRUCT
RESERVE CLOSING LOOPS PROPERLY CAN LEAD TO POTENTIALLY FATAL SITUATIONS!!
ASK, DON'T GUESS.
Parts Required:
1. 36 of 525 Spectra CYPRES line for use
with CYPRES AAD or 36 of 825 Spectra for non-AAD use.
2. 1 CYPRES washer or, for non-AAD use, 1 SAE
#6 steel flat washer.
Tools Required:
1. Finger Trapping Fid
2. Marking Pen
3. Scissors
Cautions and Notes:
1. Special attention must be paid to the distance from
the washer to the main fingertrap B. This distance is critical for proper
loop function. This distance is 2.5 +/- .25
2. The entire fingertrap section B must be completely
inside the pilotchute hard cap center grommet
3. The main fingertrap section B must be 1.5 in
length +/- .25 this is extremely important. If the fingertrap is
too long, it will bottom out on the ripcord pin. If it is too short, it
will not grip properly and loop slippage will occur almost immediately.
4. Do not use silicon as a lubricant as the loop can
act like a wick and soak it up causing loop slippage.
5. If you have questions, please email or call Trident
H&C, Inc. for information info@tridenthc.com or 888-772-2846.
